TOKYO: The creator of the popular Japanese manga series "Bleach", Tite Kubo, revealed Saturday during the "Jump Festa 2013" anime and manga convention held in Tokyo that he has gotten married, reported Japanese media.
The 35-year-old manga artiste, whose real name is Noriaki Kubo, simply said "I got married", in handouts that contained notes from various manga authors, which were distributed during the event.
He did not mention who he married or when the wedding took place.
However, his short message was enough to prompt his fans to leave a deluge of congratulatory messages on his Twitter account.
Created in 2001, "Bleach" is one of the best-selling manga series in Japan, with over 500 chapters released to date.
"Bleach" traces the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a young man who can see ghosts, and later acquires ever-stronger spiritual powers to fight evil.
